So, let’s rewind a bit,

If you didn’t know yet, the Creative Training Campus is a project of Music Crossroads, it aims to develop the required technical skills to improve abilities of young talented people, enabling them to find a place in the creative industry, generate income and improve their livelihood.

The first part of the campus in its edition 2016-2017 took place in November and December of 2016 in Zimbabwe and it was nothing less than a success.

Fast forward to today,

The second part of our CTC has started! And things so far are going great, it has been a couple of weeks of non-stop work, inspiring moments and of course, lots of music.

The first workshop warmed up the engines of the campus as it left the starting line. The workshop of Audio Engineering facilitated by Gert Muller, received the participants with all the right vibes and motivation, to start with the training.

After long recording sessions in unusual environments, our students learned how to run the sessions by themselves during the last days of the workshop and probably had a lot of fun whilst doing it, practice makes perfect!

Now that the first workshop is a wrap, the campus has momentum going on, and it’s time for our next workshops to step on the gas: Instrument Build and Repair and Cultural Management, facilitated by Hans Geerdink and Luc Mayitoukou respectively, who just arrived in Malawi and are looking forward to getting down to work.

To give you an idea of what the Creative Training Campus aims for, we made a compilation of videos of the first part of the campus and created a little music video. The song (Which you will have stuck in your head for the rest of the day) was recorded during the campus a well.

ENJOY!
