Embracing musical culture

During our Teacher Training which is now taking place at our Creative Training Campus in Malawi, trainees are learning besides the core subjects of music pedagogy,  how to document and transcribe their traditional music so they can later use it as an educational tool for future generations.

While these teachers fully embrace their musical culture, they are getting high-quality training that will enable them to approach their students in new ways while preserving cultural heritage.

To be able to learn how to film and record is such a valuable skill that will always come in handy when it comes to document and archive their traditions and shape them into educational material.

The ‘Creative Training for Youth: Europe-Africa’ is made possible by the kind support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Lilongwe, Malawi, and the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
