Imagine

Imagine Experience rebranded from Imagine International is an all-styles music competition for young artists with the aim of bringing together young people from different music styles to expose audiences to a variety of cultures and forms of music.

Music Crossroads Academy has over the years hosted the Zimbabwe national Imagine competition. Several local bands have gone on to win the Imagine International competition. JESA, Were, Kweseka, Dindigwe, Wenyombwe have all showcased at Imagine international. In 2019 Wenyombwe shrugged off competition from 6 youth bands from Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, Croatia, Poland and France to win the International prize. Vazukuru VeAfrica participated in 2022 at the Imagine International and have since gone to perform around Zimbabwe.

This year Ukama, a quartet will participate at the Imagine finals slated for December. The group consists of 3 Academy students doing certificates in Professional Music and Sound Engineering and one junior in High school.
