African destiny is a eight-member Afro-fusion band from Zimbabwe. Each member comes from a different background, yet all have the same goal; to create a better Zimbabwe. They sing about life, love, peace and the many struggles the African continent faces on a daily basis. The band fuses different sounds and genres to create a energetic and danceable sound.
The group fuse traditional African instruments such as the mbira, marimba, hosho and ngoma, fused backed by guitars, keyboard and drums.
African Destiny took part in the Songs for Life project by Music Crossroads and recorded one song on the compilation album. They have also performed at the Jazz Appreciation Society event held at The Mannenberg with Luck Street Blues and has done other acts with Jazz Invitation.
