The Japanese embassy in Lilongwe has partnered with Music Crossroads Malawi Academy for a musical event where different musicians from Japan are invited every year.
The Academy teacher’s band will perform alongside and together with three Japanese musicians who are scheduled to perform in Lilongwe on 30th and 31st August.
The first performance will be held at the Crossroads hotel and the two groups will each perform their own songs, then perform together three songs; one Japanese, one Malawian and finally the national anthem of Malawi. The second performance will be hosted by Music Crossroads Malawi, and the musicians will have a workshop with the academy students prior to a performance at the centre.
