After two weeks of touring in Europe…
six shows and some amazing sightseeing in Spain, Banyoles, I’ve pulled my thoughts together to share with you this amazing journey.
Sweden, Ethno
July 4, JESA rocked the audience at Tisdagskul in Rättvik. It was an enthralling stage performance. It was particularly remarkable considering that they didn’t have all their instruments yet (no drums and congas). I became a fan instantly, but little did I know how big of a fan I was yet to become.

July 7, Ethno Sweden ended with an amazing concert at Rättviksparken in front of a huge crowd. 84 fantastic young musicians shared their experiences during this camp and gave their all on stage! Ethno Sweden was an excellent networking opportunity for this young ambitious band. No one reaches any heights alone. It became very clear that JESA understands the great value of befriending people that are traveling on the same road to success.

Belgium, Bij de Vieze Gasten and Wégimont Festival 2017
July 8, Bij’ De Vieze Gasten, a social arts project and theater house in Gent, was the perfect place to introduce JESA for the first time to a Belgian crowd. The quirky rawness of Alfred’s vocals and Leah’s soulful yet playful voice kept the audience on the edge of their seats. This band sweeps you off your feet, leaving you no time or chance to get back on them.
July 9, what a blast we all had at Wégimont Festival 2017. What lingers isn’t just their catchy tunes, it’s their magnetic energy both on and off stage. There’s no pretension, just a band, genuinely having as much fun, if not more, than the crowd.

Spain, Ethno Catalonia, Idea Gestión Cultural
July 13, temperatures soared above 40 degrees across Banyoles, so we were happy to stroll along the lakeside and swim a bit before the show. This wonderful Mediterranean setting made the whole experience magical. Once again they rocked the stage that evening. The Ethno Catalonia audience was giving them love and energy. The exchange was priceless and will stay with me forever.
July 14, we stayed in a beautiful private farmhouse. There was a common lounge, expertly restored, overlooking the ancient courtyard of the farm. It was the perfect place to rest up from our long journey. Francesc and Monika, Idea Gestión Cultural, did everything to make us feel at home.
The band played their final show of the tour at ‘Santa Maria d’Amer’. It was an unforgettable summer night and a very enriching experience for everyone!
