Have you heard about Gule Wamkulu?
Or the Gule Wamkulu Rhythms and where you can hear them?
During the Teacher Training of the Creative Training Campus, trainees documented and transcribed the Gule Wamkulu Drummers of Mchinji, Malawi.
The documentation aims to be an educational material to the students that will allow them to approach their traditions and preserve their cultural heritage. Gule Wamkulu has been included on the Intangible Heritage of Humanity, of Unesco Representative List on 2008.
Here is a video clip of the training taking place:
And the Gule Wamkulu Drummers!

The ‘Creative Training for Youth: Europe-Africa’ is made possible by the kind support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Lilongwe, Malawi, and the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
