Meet Focusrite Scholarship recipient Wilson
Earlier this year, Music Crossroads engaged in a partnership with Focusrite Audio Engineering. The Focusrite residency scholarships consists of 15 scholarships that will take students through an entire year of full-time education at the Music Crossroads Academies in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, with the aim to remove barriers to creativity.
One of the scholarships beneficiaries from Malawi is Wilson Chikondi Mphamba, who is a passionate music producer with no prior musical training. Wilson is now able to realize his dream of studying music at the Music Crossroads Academy in Malawi. Learn more about Wilson in this video that was filmed in March 2019 before he started classes at the Academy. We will meet up with Wilson again in some months to see how his journey is going at Music Crossroads Academy Malawi.
Music Crossroads International want to extend their gratitude to Focusrite Audio Engineering for the support they are providing to the selected students. Through the scholarship, the students will receive professional training at Music Crossroads Academy, allowing them to acquire the knowledge on how to earn a living through the implementation of their talent, which can improve their livelihood.
The Music Crossroads Academies project is supported by the Norwegian Embassy, with the collaboration of Music Crossroads International and its partners.
