THE REWARD FOR WORK WELL DONE IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO MORE
Five young musicians from Music Crossroads Academy Malawi have been selected to participate in the MOVE 2017/2018 Program as, each year, JM Norway allows students between 18 and 25 years old to participate to their rich program in Mozambique, Norway and more recently Brazil.
After a tough competition and a rigorous interview, they merged successfully. Among the five selected ones, two are former students, two are current students and one is associate teacher. They are currently in preparation for their travel to the respective countries where they will stay for a period of 10 months.
Former students John Mchiswe and Waliko Gondwe will be based in Brazil, Chisomo Makunje and Tiyamike Maulidi who are currently studying are set for Mozambique and the associate teacher Lynne Mussah for Norway.
The Head of Pedagogy Mr. Eric Mwalwanda says,
“This is a great opportunity for them to enrich and heighten their professional skills, grow as musicians and network with other like-minded young musicians from different countries and backgrounds”
There were many applicants for this year’s MOVE Program competition. Therefore, the Academy is proud to have thought skills that made them stand out from the others who had applied. The Academy is delighted to play a role in qualifying and nurturing its students for opportunities such as these.
Some of the Music Crossroads Academy students who have been part of the MOVE program the last year are Priston Mtonga, who just returned from Norway, Hellen Nyasulu and Asante Maulidi who just returned from Mozambique.
