In September this year, Music Crossroads Mozambique hosted the ETHNO Camp in Maputo. Which aims to inspire musicians and help them deepen their musical skills while building a global network to support their careers. The camp combined workshops, jam sessions, rehearsals, and performances, giving participants a chance to develop both their personal and professional abilities. Through these shared experiences, musicians gained a greater understanding of different cultures, fostering inclusion and acceptance. We brought together 15 participants from 5 countries, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Tanzania & India. Culminating in a closing concert with an audience of over 2000.

Our talented sound engineer, Noel Semo, had the opportunity to work with the amazing QU-24 desk at both the ETHNO workshops and the final concert. This impressive piece of equipment significantly enhanced the experience for the musicians and greatly improved the sound quality of the final performance. This experience has been invaluable for our students and musicians. Using the QU-24 during training sessions at our academies has empowered them to explore the world of professional sound engineering and discover the exciting opportunities that lie within the creative sector. It is a privilege for them to learn and work with this top-of-the-line equipment, gaining valuable skills and knowledge that will benefit them in their future careers.
